Q: Where do I ship my packages to?
A: Please consign your shipments as follows in the "Ship To:" portion of your order. Enter your information into the text boxes below to see an example.

Q: What happens when my shipment arrives in Tacoma, WA?A: Upon arrival in Tacoma we will check in your shipment. Based on the information on the packing slip and shipping label we will call you to confirm which Santa Express service your shipment requires along with the final delivery address. We are also able to accept payment at this time and obtain release for another party to pick up your shipment if need be.
Q: What if my shipment is not marked for the Santa Express or doesn’t have my phone number listed?
A: If your shipment arrives without a contact number we will call the shipper to confirm the contact number for the owner of the product. If we are unable to locate an accurate number prior to the next available Arctic Express departure your shipment will still move to our Anchorage facility until we are able to contact you. However your shipment will not move from our Anchorage will call terminal until we have correct contact Information and verified the shipping details.
Q: What is the deadline to the Tacoma, WA Service Center in order to receive my shipment by Christmas Eve?
A: Will Call: Will Call shipments must be delivered to our Tacoma, WA Service Center by Thursday, 12/15 to be available for pickup before Saturday 12/24.
Small Package: Due to varied routing schedules and transit times to beyond points please contact our Customer Service team for the estimated transit time on your order.
LTL: LTL Shipments must be delivered to our Tacoma, WA Service Center by Thursday 12/15 in order to be delivered before end of business Friday 12/23.
Q: What if my shipment arrives after the deadline?
A: If your shipment comes in after our deadline for before Christmas Eve arrival we will still accept the shipment and move it on the next available Arctic Express to Anchorage. Your shipment may not arrive prior to Christmas Eve but we will make it available as soon as possible afterward.
Q: How can I track my package?
A: Once received at our Tacoma, WA Service Center you can track your shipment from our website www.carlile.biz using the inbound carriers tracking number provided by your shipper.
Q: What does “Will Call” mean?
A: Will Call service literally means we “will call” you upon arrival in Anchorage, Fairbanks or Kenai so you can come to our terminal to recover your shipment.
Q: What if my shipment exceeds the combined maximum totals?
A: You can still move larger shipments with us. The combined maximum totals are for the purpose of this Holiday service offering to reduce your costs. Q: How do I calculate my shipping cost for LTL curbside service from Tacoma, WA?
A: To calculate your estimated shipping cost: Will call service charges + LTL Curbside Service Charges = Total Shipping charge
Example: 1 box 70lbs 24x24x24, From Tacoma, WA to Nikiski, AK
$27.04 Will Call Service + $70.30 Curbside Service = $97.34
Q: How do I pay for my shipment?
A: We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. Payments can be taken as soon as we check your shipment into our system. Will Call and LTL shipments must be paid upon release at our terminal or delivery. Small package shipments must be paid prior to release to our partner carrier from our Anchorage terminal.
Q: What are your limits of liability?
A: We have a $500 retail value limit of liability. It you require additional coverage please contact customer service for more information.
Q: Can someone else pickup my shipment?
A: We will need written authorization from you in order to release your shipment to another person. During our initial call to confirm your shipping details you can request the release form. Please contact customerservice@carlile.biz for more information.
Q; Will I be charged sales tax on my item because it’s being shipped to Washington, not Alaska?
A: Some companies do not allow you to enter both “Bill to” and “Ship to” information when placing your order. Please verify with your shipper whether or not you will be charged sales tax if your order is shipped to our Washington Service Center. Most companies who enter both “bill to” and “ship to” information do not charge sales tax because the shipment will show as being sold to you (in Alaska).
