Our terminal at the Port of Tacoma is the consolidation point for northbound freight as well as the distribution consolidation center for all southbound freight. Tacoma is the consolidation control point for all material requiring bookings, trans-loading or consolidation for water forwarding to Alaska. The Carlile Tacoma terminal has a 64,000 sq ft cross dock facility, a 16 acre yard, truck scale and rail spur.

Carlile employs more than 90 employees who ensure seamless movement to and from all points in the contiguous states and Canada. Customers utilizing this facility have access to rail, barge, steamship and Alcan Highway road service to Alaska. Our yard, warehouse and shop facilities are available for special projects and emergency repairs for customers.

The Tacoma operation offers a wide range of warehousing and logistical services. In addition to a climate controlled environment for basic storage, we also offer a bonded, secured module for high-value/security items and an external lay-down storage area for oversized items.

Even the seemingly simple shipments can require careful coordination to make sure it goes as planned. At Carlile we have the experience and partnerships to manage complex, multi-modal shipments all across North America.
