Carlile's rail connections allow the transport of large and
heavy loads which are preferred to be handled or more
cost effective to move by rail.
Through the Alaska Railroad's
Alaska Rail Marine service railcars can be shipped efficiently
without transloading between Alaska and the Lower 48.
Another method is to ship products in bulk by rail to the
Tacoma Terminal where they can be split and shipped
LTL over a period of time to Alaska. Rail spurs are
conveniently located at or near our terminals in
Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Tacoma.
