Carlile Celebrates Career Milestone as Three Interns Join Team Full Time
Anchorage, AK — A celebration took place on Friday, May 30, at Carlile’s Anchorage shop to honor the successful completion of mechanics internships by three young King Tech High School students. All three interns accepted full-time positions as mechanic apprentices, marking a significant milestone in their careers and for Carlile.
“This is a milestone for these young mechanics, and it’s a milestone for Carlile,” said Whitney Roe, Anchorage Shop Manager. “We’re committed to being part of the solution to Alaska’s skilled labor gap, and that starts by supporting young people through hands-on career opportunities.”
Carlile Internships
This Carlile internship program reflects the broader mission to encourage interest in vocational education and the skilled trades across Alaska. The company is actively encouraging students to pursue careers as labor professionals, not just in transportation, but across all industries.
“We’re proud that Carlile can be part of our community at this level,” said Roe. “By creating opportunities for young Alaskans, we’re helping build a stronger future for our state.”
