40 YEARS OF CARLILE'S SAFETY DRIVEN LEADERSHIP

Founded in 1980 by brothers John and Harry McDonald, Carlile trucking grew from just two tractors to one of Alaska’s largest trucking & shipping logistics companies. In 1985, they made their first haul to Prudhoe on the Dalton Highway. In 2013, Carlile was acquired and became a part of the Saltchuk family of businesses. Today, 40 years later, Carlile has over 350 tractors and offers a full range of transportation and shipping logistics services.

Carlile is based in Anchorage, AK, and employs 450 people. The wholly-owned shipping terminals serve Alaska from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kenai, Kodiak, and Prudhoe Bay, as well as Tacoma, WA, Houston, TX, and Edmonton, AB.
