ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Sept. 17, 2026 — Carlile Transportation, a multimodal managed logistics provider serving Alaska, Hawaii and the Lower 48, has named Bryan Yorke president. Yorke, previously Carlile’s vice president of commercial, stepped into the role Aug. 10. He succeeds Krista Williams, who led Carlile from 2023 through the company’s integration with Naniq Global Logistics.
Yorke takes the role during a period of significant expansion. Carlile combined with Naniq on Jan. 1, extending its services into Hawaii for the first time and growing the team to about 925 employees across Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Texas and Alberta.
Yorke led the commercial organization through that integration.
“Our commitments to our employees and our customers remain the same: safety, operational excellence and exceptional customer service,” Yorke said. “We’ve got a strong foundation here, and my focus is using it as a springboard into the next phase of Carlile’s development. There’s real momentum, and we’re going to build on it.”
Yorke joined Carlile in 2025, leading sales, marketing and pricing. He previously served as vice president of commercial at LifeMed Alaska, a medevac company, and spent nearly 10 years at TOTE Maritime Alaska, advancing from account executive to director of sales. He is based at Carlile’s Tacoma, Washington, terminal and has visited the company’s Alaska and Hawaii operations since taking the role.
Carlile also named Chris Rye vice president of commercial, effective Sept. 7. Rye joins from TOTE Maritime Alaska, where he served as vice president of sales. He and Yorke worked together for six years at the company.
“Chris is someone that I trust and have immense respect for,” Yorke said. “He’s spent his career on both the operational and commercial sides of this business. He brings strong business acumen, and he has a way with people that makes customers and colleagues want to work with him. In a business built on relationships, that’s what makes the difference.”
Rye previously led operations for TOTE Maritime Alaska, overseeing terminal, equipment, fleet and maintenance departments, and began his career at General Dynamics NASSCO as a project manager on the Marlin Class, the first liquefied natural gas-powered container ships. A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, he was named to the South Sound Business 40 Under 40 list in 2021. He is based in Tacoma.
Rye, who moved to the commercial side after more than a decade in operations, said that background shapes how he thinks about customers.
“There’s more to this business than shipping and price,” Rye said. “Our goal is to partner with our customers, helping solve the challenges in front of them along with what’s coming next. That means continuing to find ways for operations, commercial and every team across the company to work together with a focus on the customer.”
Carlile has been in a significant period of growth since joining TOTE Logistics, under the Saltchuk family of companies, in January of 2025.
