No, you can shop by phone or catalog and have your retail packages forwarded to Alaska as well. You can even have friends, family or businesses drop off your shipment directly to our terminal.

Wherever you purchase from, make sure to use the special MyConnect shipping address (including your MyConnect customer ID) in Tacoma, WA rather than your Alaska address.

The key to MyConnect is using the unique shipping address provided to you when you registered for MyConnect. This address is for Carlile’s terminal in Tacoma, WA and includes your unique MyConnect customer ID number.

Use your MyConnect shipping address (instead of your Alaskan home or business address) anytime you make a purchase and MyConnect will deliver your items to a Carlile terminal near you in Alaska.

You will receive a notification via email and/or text message once your items have been received. We’ll then confirm your package forwarding charges based on verified packaging dimensions.

Next, you will log in to MyConnect to pay for your shipments. You can pay for your shipment any time before you pick it up.

Shipments can be picked up during business hours at your designated MyConnect pick-up terminal.

The following items are prohibited and will not be accepted for MyConnect shipments to Alaska:

• Firearms
• Alcoholic beverages and tobacco
• Drugs, including prescription drugs, illegal drugs and substances, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances
• Human remains
• Temperature-controlled and perishable goods, including live animals, fresh food or perishable items, items that must be kept from freezing (e.g., chemicals, pharmaceuticals)
• Counterfeit, stolen or fraudulent goods, live plants and soil,
• Valuable goods, including currency, jewelry, museum exhibits or antiques. Artwork, postage stamps, or other articles of extraordinary value or inherently fragile items

Carlile does not provide small package consolidation through the MyConnect program. Each piece received will be checked in as its own MyConnect shipment. You can group the packages together in your customer portal so you can track and pay for them as one shipment.

Standard Liability Limits Included

The maximum liability on your shipment to Alaska will be $20.00 per pound up to a maximum of $200,000 per shipment for new goods. Household goods and used goods will have a maximum liability of $0.10 per pound up to a maximum of $5,000 per Alaskan shipment. Update with new BOL.

Increased Liability Limits Available

Additional coverage beyond Carlile’s limits of liability is available and can be added when completing your shipment in MyConnect. Simply provide a declared value and additional coverage charges can be added to your order.

The maximum liability on the shipment to Alaska will be increased up to the declared value, not to exceed $200,000 per shipment.  In no case will the declared value exceed the replacement value of the goods. Update with new BOL.
