There are so many reasons why we love living in Alaska. Finding online retailers that actually ship to Alaska isn’t one of them.
Unfortunately, a lot of retailers just don’t want to ship to Alaska or have rules that make it difficult. Why? Well, it can present a lot of logistics difficulties and customer support challenges that many companies don’t want to deal with.
One of those retailers is Overstock.com. This is a shame because Overstock.com is a great place to find good deals on everything from furniture to electronics. So what are Alaskans supposed to do?
Luckily, Carlile has come up with a solution called MyConnect. Thanks to MyConnect, you can have your packages from Overstock.com forwarded directly to Alaska.
Use MyConnect to Ship Overstock.com to Alaska
MyConnect is a retail package forwarding service that allows you to shop at any retailer in the contiguous United States and have your purchases delivered to a Carlile terminal in Tacoma, Washington. From there, Carlile takes care of getting your packages up to Alaska.
Here’s how it works:
- You shop at Overstock.com like normal, adding all the items you want to your cart and going through the checkout process like you normally would.
- Go to the MyConnect page and use the widget near the bottom to get an estimate for your item(s). (Optional)
- At checkout, enter the information for our Tacoma shipping terminal as the shipping address.
- Once Overstock.com ships your order to the Tacoma terminal, we’ll pick it up and take it to a Carlile terminal in Alaska where you can then pick it up at your convenience.
Pretty easy, huh?
